Our General Dentistry Services:

Extractions
When you need to have a tooth extracted, it means that it must be removed from your mouth entirely. For some reason, this tooth is beyond salvaging, and to restore your mouth to good working order, it would need to be removed from the area before it can cause further damage from occurring. Often, the tooth that requires extraction may be painful, and removing the problem can get you back to eating and drinking your favorite things.

Composite Fillings
Composite dental fillings are tooth-colored to blend in with the remaining natural part of the tooth. The term composite refers to the actual filling material, which is a mixture of fine glass, or quartz filler in a resin medium. Composite fillings provide good durability and resistance in small-to-medium size restorations that can stand up to most normal daily wear and tear.

Mouthguards & Nightguards
If you wake up with a sore jaw, a dull headache or tooth pain, you may want to ask a qualified dental professional if you are suffering from a common, though often temporary dental disorder called bruxism. Patients with bruxism may find that they are clenching or grinding their teeth while they sleep. This can have negative and severe effects on your teeth, even if you are doing it for only short periods of time. Patients who grind or clench their teeth can flatten their teeth, losing those divots or grooves that assist in chewing.

Root Canals
A "root canal," or endodontic therapy, is a procedure available to save a tooth that is infected and otherwise would require extraction.

Dental Implant Rehabilitation
In decades past, most dentists and society have assumed that people have three sets of teeth in their lifetime: their primary teeth, their permanent teeth and then their dentures. Dentures are an uncomfortable, though for many, an inevitable step. There are a variety of options for replacing a missing tooth or teeth such as implants, bridges, and dentures. This is where we come in, offering you the benefits of each option and helping you to pick the best one for your independent case.

Crowns
A crown is a “cap” or covering that wraps and protects the entire visible surface of your damaged tooth. A crown works to strengthen the tooth while protecting the existing structure, extending the life of the tooth longer than it would be with a filling or another restoration. A dental crown is custom created based on molds of your mouth so that it will fit your tooth and bite pattern, which allows you to keep your natural tooth intact.

Dentures
When the condition of the teeth has deteriorated so far that they can no longer be repaired, removal is the only option. Dentures are a "replacement" option for missing teeth. There are two variations of dentures: partial dentures and full dentures. The difference between the two lies in how many natural teeth remain.

Partial Dentures
Whether the teeth fall out on their own or they need to be extracted, losing teeth has a significant effect on your life. At The Elmwood Dental Group LLC, we can replace sections of missing teeth with partial dentures.

Bridges
A bridge is non-removable, so it will become a permanent part of your smile. There are many different types of bridges, and we can help you choose the option that fits your custom dental needs.

Bonding
Bonding is the application of a tooth-colored composite resin (plastic) to repair a chipped, decayed, fractured, discolored tooth or as a cosmetic alternative to amalgam fillings.
At The Elmwood Dental Group LLC, our office is both parking and wheel chair accessible.
